I didn't find any topics that were very interesting from my classmates. Most of their responses were pretty similar to mine. Zack had similar opinions on the way he would run his classroom and about the jeapordy game that we learned. For the most part, I think we were all pretty much on the same page.
The technology-related skill that I would like to learn next is how to work a smart board. My senior year in high school was the year that we finally received smart boards. Many of my teachers did not know how to use them. I would love to learn how to use them and the cool things that you could do with them. It seems like a really neat tool to help teach students and that is why I would want to learn how to use it.
The ways that I might achieve my future educational technology goals it to learn more about technology. I would take more technology classes so I could learn about the newest technology available. Thay way, I could present them to my students in ways that could enhance their learning.

Within the past two weeks, I have had the priviledge of learning about a new web based tool for teachers. This web based tool is teachertube.com. It is full of instructional videos as well as videos that teachers can use for themselves. I think it is a wonderful tool for teachers and students. There is information for all levels and subjects, which range from Elementary school to high school.
Teacher tube is very easy to acess. All you do is go to www.teachertube.com/. From there, you can do a search for any topic or subject that you might be interested in. You can also find the most recent videos and top rated videos. I would use this to help me with my lesson plans or for fun activities within the classroom.
As an elementary school teacher, I probally wont use excel as much as upper grade level teachers. I plan on being a first grade teacher, so I know that I will probaly use it to create a roster for my students. It would consist of their names, telephone numbers, adresses, and parents names. I might even use excel to keep track of their progress in certain areas, such as their behavior in class. I would make a big spread sheet and put stars next to their names.
For my final project in this course, me and my partner have decided to split up our tasks. I will be creating the budget for our school and she will be writing the two paged paper. We found that it will probally be easier that way. This project does take a little more thought and effort than I thought it would take. I plan to start on the budget fairly soon, so that we will be ready to present when that time comes around.

I think my PowerPoint 2 assignment is very good. I have proper grammar and the content is relevant to the topic. I followed the screen designs that were outlined by the teacher. My navigation was also pretty effective. There was a way to get back to the home page from every slide. Overall, I think students would enjoy my PowerPoint because it is colorful and easy to follow.
I might use non-computer audio-visual technologies as another way for my students to learn instead of just using books. There are so many ways to learn something these days, why not use the resources that are provided to us. I thinks students would really love audio-visual technologies. It gives them something to listen to and view besides the teacher standing in front of the classroom.
This past week I learned how to make a jeopardy game. This could help me out tremendously when I become a teacher. It is a fun and easy way to keep the students entertained, and I will not have to spend money for it. I am really glad I learned this skill because it increased my knowledge of the ways that I can use PowerPoint. I don't only have to use it for little notes. This is the more creative side to using PowerPoint.

I think that it is great idea to use presentation software in the K-12 classroom. It provides another element of learning for students. It can help them get excited about learning because of all the creative things a teacher can do with presentation software. On the other hand, if you rely on presentation software too much, it could become a problem when those things malfunction. Most presentation software require technology, which is not always reliable. So that would be the disadvantage of using presentation software.
I would use PowerPoint to support student learning by creating special games about the chapters that were just taught. Jeopardy would be a great game because I could incorporate several questions to quiz the students on what they learned. I could also create other nice PowerPoint's on different lessons to create notes for students. I could also use them as helpful hints to what they will be quizzed on.
There are not any issues that really bother me within education technology. The only issue that might be a problem is relying on technology too much. We all know that technology can't always be relied upon because if something happens, are plans will fail. That is why we always need a back up when dealing with technology. Especially as teachers, because we do not want our lesson plans to fall through just because we don't have the technology that we needed.
